Piper’s First Ponytail!

035036033

She was not a fan of me putting it up but was happy with it afterwards.

Her hair has started getting in her eyes and this is the only option right now.

And for comparison Izzy’s first ponytail; at age 2, hard to believe but she had even less hair than Piper Smile

Lazy 5

We visited Lazy 5 this week and had a really fun time!  Piper wasn’t too sure at first but warmed up after a little while.  If you ask Izzy what her favorite animal was she will say the ostrich…. in actuality she is terrified of them- as am I.  Just look at those eyes, and beaks!!!  No thank you!014018040046049054

The giraffes are my favorite.

Piper liked the sheep at the walk-thru part best…. or maybe she liked the fence separating her from them Smile  It was a beautiful day and just what we were needing!!

Izzy sings on stage!

002008012

Izzy joined the cherub choir at the church where her preschool is.  She was SUPER excited to sing on stage- like daddy Smile  They sang “Shout” and that is pretty much what she did.

CORN!!!!

003006007010011

Izzy’s favorite veggie is corn……. looks like it’s Piper’s too Open-mouthed smile

They shared this “snack” after church Sunday- it made a mess but was so worth it.  I know now just how much Izzy loves Piper- if she shares her corn with you, you are something special!!

Saying YES!

God has truly been working in my life in these past few weeks. It started with reading Made to Crave and continued through reading Tender Mercies for a Mother's soul. I went back and forth with God trying to decide where He wanted me right now. I wanted to be in a Bible study but I didn't want to have to do the work. God didn't let go and eventually I gave in and joined the Bible study at Westover called "The Amazing Collection". Each week we read through a book of the Bible and learn about it. There is homework- and I am learning this is what I needed. I am LOVING reading the Bible and learning new things. Honestly I thought it was going to be a little boring but it has been the opposite. I am excited to read and make connections that I never knew were there. I am LOVING the small group time. I have been praying for some godly women who are a little bit farther ahead of me in life to shepherd me- and that is just what God has given me. He is awesome!! Along with the Bible study I have started a new book called "What happens when women say yes to God". It is by the same author as Made to Crave and it is just as good! I am learning what it looks like to say yes to God in the everyday things and in bigger things. It is awesome to see what God can do. I look forward to where he is taking me- and I can't wait! It has also been really cool to see how God has brought Tim to a place where he is seeking God daily and is in the same hungry place as me. It is wonderful to be able to talk about what I am hearing God say to me and process through that with Him. I am so thankful to have a Christian husband who is in God's word and seeking God's will for his life and for our family. I am so overwhelmingly joyful for the blessings we have received. As we are still waiting to hear where we stand with our adoption process and where God has for Tim to work- I am at peace. I can rest knowing God has plans to prosper us!! And I can't wait to see what is next in HIS plan!! There was a great song at church the other week "If You say Go" and it pinpoints where we are in life right now. Here is the link if you are interested :) "Your ways are higher than our ways and the plans that you have laid are good and true" WOW!!
