2nd Honeymoon

We celebrated our ten year anniversary a little late with a trip to the beach!  We stayed at my parents beach house outside of Havelock.  My parents kept the kiddos at their house and Tim & I enjoyed some time together!!  We headed to Havelock on Thursday evening.  Ate dinner at the Crabby Pattys- it was pretty yummy!

Ate at the Sanitary on Saturday night.  It was good but not phenomenal like I expected.  Seems like I’ve seen people wearing shirts from there my entire life!

We rented our first RedBox movies and watched them Saturday night.  Sunday we cleaned up a little and headed to my parents to get the girls.  They were happy to see us but my parents assured me that they hadn’t mentioned us once since we had been gone.  The girls had a blast with my parents and only ended up with minor scrapes and cuts…. Open-mouthed smile

Thanks so much for watching them and letting us use the Bay House!!  We had a great time!!

Father Daughter dance take 2

Well Piper was sad that she didn’t get to go to the father daughter dance and Izzy wasn’t herself that night….. so we found out Izzy’s school was having a father daughter dance and got tickets.  The girls were really excited!  I made them ribbon corsages (so proud of my non-crafty self!).

I was working so my rock-star hubby got them all ready and took them himself!  Taking pictures dutifully for me Open-mouthed smile

Circus & School party

We have gone to the circus for the past 4 years…. it comes every year around Izzy’s birthday and it is a blast!!

Here’s a pic of Izzy’s first circus!  She wasn’t too sure about the cotton candy- don’t worry she gobbles it up now Smile

DSC_0005This year we went early for the pre-show

DSC_0009

The girls had a blast dancing and jumping around with the dancers and clowns!DSC_0012DSC_0017DSC_0022DSC_0024

We left after intermission- I don’t think we will do the 5 o’clock show next year.  The kiddos were tired- but we had a lot of fun while we were there and didn’t have any traffic on the way out!DSC_0026

Side note I love this pic of me and Piper!

We brought snack to Izzy’s class for her actual birthday.  She wanted ice cream and it was a big hit!

Izzy is trying to help Piper sit “criss-cross applesauce”

Izzy continues to love school, her friends and teachers.  We are thankful for such a great preschool for her!!

Awe factor

And yet…… He hears me. (Micah 7:7)

The God who created all of those galaxies, who created everything; knows me.  He knows my thoughts, my needs, all of me.

And He loves me anyways….

Wow!

Izzy at 4 years old

I can’t believe Isabella is turning four! Seems like yesterday she was born. I still remember the moment they laid her on my chest. I kept saying “she’s really here”.

Izzy's Born 007

It was a great first year. I loved being a mommy!

Izzy's birthday 031

She was such a content happy kiddo. We had a blast celebrating her 1st birthday at the Children’s Museum.

izzy bday 386 At 21 months old she became a big sister. A role she has cherished and excelled at. She takes care of her sister, plays with her and reminds me to get her “tummy medicine” (lactaid tablets) anytime we are going out for pizza, ice cream or anything dairy. We celebrated her 2nd birthday at a horse barn and she had a blast!

046

Her 3rd year has definitely been the year of the princess!! She loves all things princess or “girly” as she frequently tells me. We celebrated with Cinderella at that party and she was awestruck! She talked about Cinderella coming to her party all year long! She really developed her personality this year. She is kind hearted, loves friends, loves to go and do but doesn’t like being the center of attention. She remains very protective of her little sister and is sure to include her in almost everything she does. She asked Jesus to come into her heart this year and is very interested in the Bible and learning how to live a life pleasing to God. She keeps me on my toes reminding me that “Jesus is on the throne” and that “Piper is only 2 years old.”
