Beach for Thanksgiving 2013!

This week we packed up and headed to Myrtle Beach!!  We were excited to get away for a vacation and enjoy family time!!  Some friends of ours go every year and told us how much fun they have so we decided it sounded like a great plan!

The girls were SUPER excited to be able to watch TV in their beds!!

(we don’t have any TV’s in bedrooms at home)

We brought some crafts along to do…

The resort had an indoor pool, lazy river and hot tub and we spent quite a bit of time enjoying it!!  The girls were super happy to play with their friends.  The big girls played quite a bit of hide & seek/tag/scare Mr.Tim   Piper & her buddy loved the shallow pool with the waterfall…. and Cassidy really liked it too- she could walk around in her little float- using it like a walker!

Izzy was fearless!  She loved running and jumping in!

We took the girls to Medieval Times- it is a dinner show with knights fighting and lots of horses.

They were SUPER excited!  We cheered for the black and white knight.

Both girls got a rose thrown to them from our knight for their enthusiastic cheering!!

Both girls really loved and and ate really well too!  The food was awesome and all dragon themed!  Tomato bisque (dragon blood soup), garlic bread (dragon scale), 1/2 chicken (baby dragon), bbq ribs (dragon ribs), half a potato (dragon claw), and apple turnover or Italian ice (frozen dragon tail).  Piper was worried when the jousting and fighting began… she almost cried when our knight got hurt…. she wasn’t a fan until that part was over.  Izzy loved the entire thing!  It kept her attention!  Cassidy enjoyed yelling along with us and eating about 50 ritz crackers

We got to meet our knight at the end and Piper was very happy he was ok!

We had some downtime in our room…. lots of playing, crafts, and watching TV

We ate Thanksgiving lunch at K&W it was pretty yummy!  We went and saw frozen after- the girls loved it!

We went to a children’s museum and had fun playing around!

We had an awesome time!!  So nice to be away and all get to spend so much time together!  We were all happy to be “Home sweet home” though! 

Piper’s 4th Birthday Party!!

Piper turned 4 years old this past Sunday but we celebrated her birthday a little early (I am behind in blogging!)  A friend made her cake and cupcakes for her!  “Special” (dairy free) so she could enjoy them!!

We had a blast celebrating Piper!!  We love her so much!  She has embraced her middle sister role well!  She is a perfect little mommy to Cassidy, knows just how to push Izzy’s buttons, and keeps us all on our toes!  She is so much fun and so super sweet!  We love her!!
