Fun with Nay Nay and family

We wanted to spend some time with Nathan and his family before they went on vacation so we invited them over for a cookout on Memorial Day. All blue skies and warm temperatures so we decided to let the kiddos take a little dip. No sooner had we filled up the pool did the rain begin. And boy did it poor. I stood out in the rain with the kiddos while Katie stood in my doorway with a Food Lion bag on her head photo documenting :) Izzy was having a blast but Nathan wasn't too sure. When he got the pitcher he had a little fun.

This pic is of Izzy eating her breakfast..... boy does she love cheese!
On Tuesday we went to the park with Nathan and Katie. Now it is my turn to photo document while Katie climbs with the kiddos.
Nathan was first down the slide.
Then Izzy
Then Katie......
Then Nathan again.... get out of the way mom!
Concentrating.....
Smelling the flowers
Nathan found a good seat.... watch out next week he will probably climb it!
Silly pic I know but check out those molars!
Hurry up and get back Nay Nay! Izzy has been asking about you already! We hope you guys enjoy your trip and family time!!!

Very Busy

So it has been awhile since my last post and we have been very busy. I just can't seem to find the time to post. So here goes :) No pics just an update but it is the best I can do for now! We have been having loads of fun recently. A few weeks ago we went to the Lazy 5 Ranch and had a BLAST! You ride in a horse drawn wagon around the farm and stop in various areas and all kinds of animals come right up to the wagon. Izzy had a blast with this and really enjoyed being so close to all the animals. How close you ask??? We a giraffe gave her a kiss on the head, she touched a water buffalo's tongue and almost got pecked to death by am emu (which scared mommy to death- they have CRAZY beady eyes!!!!) It was definately worth the drive and we had a blast!

This week we went to a farm in Summerfield for another animal adventure. We went on a tractor pulled hay ride! Izzy loved to stand on the wagon and jump up and down as we went over bumps! Hilarious! She noticed right off that they had put a goat on the back of the wagon and was trying her best to get back to see it. We made several stops where the kiddos could get off and pet or feed the animals. The first stop Izzy went straight for the goat. She loved petting it and would squat down to be eye level with it and then giggle! She really loves animals :) There were chickens where she promptly yelled "bok bok bok". Our friend Zachary was there and he said "DINNER!!!!" hahahahaha cracked me up :) They got to pet baby ducks and baby chickens. Izzy tried to sneak into the duck cage but we caught her just in time! We toured around the farm and saw horses and a donkey. We got off again at the sheep area. Izzy was very happy to BAAAAA at the sheep ;) She walked right up to the fence and was trying to pet them. They are a little more skitish and were mainly interested in the food. They brought out a little lamb and Izzy petted it and tried to kiss it... how cute :) The next stop was to feed baby cows but you had to watch out for the electric fence so we passed on that... I can just imagine that! By the end of the ride the kiddos were getting hungry so we went and ate some good Italian food.

Yesterday we went to Ingram's strawberry patch to pick some strawberries. Well that was my intent. Izzy however wanted to EAT all the berries! We got another wagon ride and she was happy about that. She helped carry the bucket and enjoyed playing in the dirt. She ate so berries many she didn't have any room for snack when we got home. One bystander said- "they should have weighed those babies on the way in and on the way out!" She was COVERED in strawberries when we got back to the car. I had to strip her down and she road home in just her diaper. We have been enjoying those berries.... I have to hide them from her or that is all she wants to eat. They also had goats at the berry patch and feed to give them. Izzy actually fed them and liked it! It was cute to see her.... when she saw them she said "goat goat goat!" I told you she LOVES animals.... maybe I should buy a goat.... then I can quit paying to have someone cut my grass. Wonder what the homeowners association would think of that???

Health update- Izzy had stomatitis this past week. long story short it is ulcers in the throat and mouth. VERY PAINFUL ULCERS!! She wanted nothing to do with food or drink, SCREAMED when I gave her motrin and tylenol and couldn't even swallow her own drool :( It was heartbreaking. Took her to the pediatrician twice and they said it was viral and it would just have to pass. Poor little girl!! She was so pitiful. Neither one of us got any sleep and she was fussy and wanting to be held nonstop. Glad to say it is getting better and she is eating and drinking now. We went for her 15 month checkup today and she is right on target for height and weight. I think she probably lost a few pounds this week with not eating and everything but is still in the 75th percentile for weight, height and head circumference!

Preggo update- The bun in the oven is doing well. We are hoping the nausea will be gone soon! It hasn't been nearly as bad as it was with Izzy but when you throw chasing her around in the mix it is NOT fun! Got a a glimpse of the baby the other day and he/she was jumping and kicking all around. Everything is on track and looking good :)

Well I think that is all the updates for now..... will try to post some pics sometime soon. It is hard to do it with her running around and most nights I am so tired I am in bed pretty much right after her!
