Circus Fun!

We went to the circus on Valentines day and had a great time! Izzy's friend Zachary and his parents came too. Izzy really seemed to enjoy her time there! Of course she loved the animals and liked all the lights and sounds :) We stayed right up to the end... she fell asleep right before the tigers. I couldn't believe it.... it was really loud in there. I guess she had just had all she could take. She made a fussy face and then put her head on daddy's shoulder and went right off to sleep. She didn't wake up until after we left and were almost outside.

Tim really liked the tigers... they were pretty feisty... hard to tell if it was part of the act or not.

The guy who was in there was crazy.... can you imagine if one of the tigers landed on him?? OUCH!

Izzy really liked the elephants! How cool that they can do this??

She liked the zebras alot too... one of her favorite zoo animals :)

She has learned to make a horse sound and did so all during their performance!

Her little stuffed elephant souvenir :)

Izzy & Mommy

Happy girl

What a funny hat!

All she wanted to do with the cotton candy was feed it to Daddy.... TOO CUTE! He certainly didn't mind :)

On a side note we have moved to the big girl tub & she loves it! She slides up and down and all around. The bottom is textured so she doesn't slip.... she is painting with bath tub paints here....

She is becoming more and more of her own little person. She is talking more and getting closer to walking. She will now repeat alot of words we say... like dirty and danger. She says dog all the time and ball more and more. One of her favorite things to do is to look at pictures so if you have any email them to me and she will be so happy :)

Izzy's 1st Birthday Party!!!!!!!!!!!!

It has been so nice recently that we have been able to go on walks around the neighborhood with Izzy in her wagon. She loves to ride in it and really likes it when the wind blows! Thanks to my good friend Katie (who knows ALOT about her camera) she told me how to do the delay so we could all be in the picture together!

So I can't believe we celebrated Izzy's first birthday party. Her actual birthday isn't until the 13th- Friday the 13th this year... BUT I figured people might have valentines plans so we had it this past weekend! She had a blast as did Tim & I! She was really happy and sweet the whole time! She had 7 of her friends there as well as aunts & uncles, cousins, grandma's and grandpa. The pictures tell it all! We were at the Greensboro Children's museum which worked wonderfully :)
Doesn't she look sneaky..... what is she thinking.... just wait til I get these toys home :)

After we opened all the presents she went back through to check them all out again (while Mommy ate cake)

After Christmas she is a pro at the present opening & had a blast!

7 years & going strong

So this blog is mostly about Izzy but I wanted to post about our anniversary! Sunday was 7 years for us!!! WOW! That sounds like alot.... getting close to 10 :) I don't get to talk about how wonderful my hubby is enough... so just read on. He is the perfect match for me. He is my best friend. He is a wonderful daddy! I thank God everyday that I have him. I love him so much!!!! I wonder where or who I would be today if it weren't for him. He keeps me sane when I think I am going to lose it. He listens and helps me work through whatever I have going on. He seems to know what I need when I need it. Even though our lives are crazy trying to raise an almost 1 year old he always has time to hug, kiss and hold me. My favorite place to be in the whole world is in his arms. There everything disappears..... my bad night at work, my frustrations, my insecurities, my problems are all ok because there is a wonderful man who loves me and is going to make it all better. I can't explain how good he is to me. There are so many things he does every day to make me fall even more in love with him. Then I see him with Izzy and I fall even more in love with him. I always knew he would be a great dad but he amazes me all the time. She BEAMS when she hears the garage door open and I tell her daddy is home. We run to the door and greet him and she smiles from ear to ear. She bounces in my arms until he takes her... and boy she is happy then! I love to hear them together..... playing, tickling, whatever... it melts me heart. He is the kind of daddy I had.... the best in the world! He takes care of her when I leave for work, puts her down and gets all her stuff ready for the next day. Gets her up and dressed and takes her to daycare all by himself! I don't even know if I could do that! On Saturdays and Sundays when I work the night before he takes care of her while I sleep. Sometimes I wake up to shrieks of joy and laughter from their playtime downstairs. I smile knowing she is having so much fun with daddy. He talks often of how he wants to take her on dates when she gets a little older.... I remember doing that with my daddy and I am so happy knowing that she will grow up with a wonderful daddy too! I love him so much and am so thankful for him!
Since we have been married people who hear me talk about him think we are newly weds... they say it will fade.. they say how they miss those days. I never want to say that. I hope our love will continue to grow stronger day by day year by year! I want to be some of those old people you see sitting somewhere holding hands just talking the time away. I want to grow old with him! I love you baby!!!

Fun with family, friends & new toys :)

WOW! We have had alot going on recently :) All good though! Josh (my little brother) and his wife Bethany (I know he married someone with my exact same name- he must love me :) came up to see us last weekend. We had a blast. They have two dogs Nollie and Cosmo who Izzy LOVED playing with. She is still looking for them everyday. She is standing more and more and loves to push around things. She had been pushing our kitchen chairs around and around the kitchen so at Weeruns I got her a grocery cart. She absolutely loves it!!! I also got her a little climber with a slide.... she does the slide all by herself! I got a few other toys and some clothes... but did not go crazy like I have been known to do in the past... BUT the discount days are still ahead!!!! Hope you enjoy the pics!

Izzy enjoyed singing with mommy & daddy on guitar hero!
