Father/Daughter/Papa Campout!

Tim, my dad (Papa) and the girls went on a campout with our church this past weekend.  They had a blast!  A friend of ours also went with his little girl.  Piper is a BIG Matt fan

They all had a great time!  I am so thankful that my girls have such an awesome Daddy and Papa to pour into them and be such a great example of our heavenly Father. 

Sweet Summertime!

I missed these sweet girls so much when I was in Guatemala!  I’ve enjoyed soaking them up this past week!  We love summer with all the fun things to do!  We went to a fairy themed event at the library.  My girls wanted to dress up like fairies of course So they did!

They had lots of cute crafts like making a place for your fairy to hide, making lanterns, making masks, and planting a seed to grow in a cup.  The girls had a lot of fun!!

Been reading a lot about ethnic hair at Chocolate Hair Vanilla Care- saw this cute style and did it this morning for church!  Both girls likes having "Rapunzel hair” which is what I called it to talk them into it

Blessings in Guatemala

I just got back from a week in Guatemala.  I went with Caroline’s Promise and I was so blessed to be able to go!  I will share some pictures of what we did and the cute kids there- but I want to be sure to tell you that God did so much more behind the pictures!  It is a beautiful country and although we were busy doing work, hanging out with kids and getting to know our team-mates there was a lot of time to spend one-on-one with God.  He provided me with some awesome time in prayer and Bible study.  I learned to rest in Him, to listen to His voice and to be obedient.  I am trying to implement that back home as well!  Spending time in prayer and in the Bible before checking email, Facebook or heading out the door.  God confirmed the importance of that this morning through this devotion.  So cool!  Anyways- God is good!  I’m happy to be home and ready to jump into the rest of our exciting summer!!

While the medical clinic was going on- some of the other team members were teaching some of the women from the church to sew.  They learned how to make dresses, & drawstring backpacks.  The ladies will be able to sell what they make to help provide for their families!! view in front of the school

I was left in charge of the Preparatory class while their teacher went to learn about how to help the kids read/how to use a library.  I speak very limited Spanish and they speak limited English- so they basically drew on the board with dry-erase markers the whole time   They had fun though!

I am so thankful to have been able to go on this trip!  It is such a blessing to love on those kiddos!  Thanks to everyone who donated money and/or prayed for me!  I’m happy to be home- but I hope to remember all that I learned and saw there!
