Growing up....

It amazes me how fast our little girl is growing up. She loves to try new things and explore new places. This past week we broke out her bubble bath paints. You put them in the tub with no water and squirt out the paint. They can paint (and slip and slide) all over. When they are done you fill the bath and the paint turns into bubble bath! I have no pics of the painting because I was trying to (1) keep her from eating it and (2) keep her on her bottom so she wouldn't bust her face open :) Regardless of the stress she LOVED it! We haven't had a bubble bath yet (yes I know she is deprived) and she kept signing more and squeezing the bubbles :) She thought it was hilarious to have bubbles on different parts of her body!
Cute little bubble covered butt!
We have had this potty for awhile now... she looks at it and takes it apart. Well last week she told me she needed to poop while standing by her potty. So I took off her diaper and she pooped and peed in the potty!!!! I figured it was a fluke..... but again the next day she did it! WOW! Of course I sang and danced and gave her a cookie! No more poopy in the potty so far but I am still so proud!
Had a playdate over here and the kiddos had a tickle fest!

Cheese!
More tickling at Jump N fun
Flipping with Kristin- she loves this!
Think she knows what the camera is??
We have been practicing for the new little sister. She did this unprompted. She has been giving the babies her paci's and food for awhile but the bottle was new. Thought it was adorable:)
Gonna be such a good big sister!!
Short update on Izzy- she very much likes to pick.... EVERYTHING! From what she wears to what she eats:) It is fun to see what she prefers to wear. She loves to be told she is pretty- ESPECIALLY by daddy! She is becoming more and more loving. She really seemed to miss me this past weekend (I worked). On Monday night when I put her to bed she kept herself awake to keep patting my face and kissing me! So adorable. She would lay her head down and be almost out and then sit back up and pat me and say mommy mommy mommy! I ate it up :) She is talking alot and makes sure we know what she wants! I am enjoying every minute!!

It's a ......

GIRL!!!! Izzy will have a little sister :) Everything looked great on the ultrasound. Izzy was a little worried in the beginning when they were putting the jelly on my belly. She wanted to hold my hand and had a really concerned look on her face. But then the baby popped up on the TV and waved to us! She had fun seeing the baby and waved back. She was a trooper at the doctor... we had to wait awhile for the people ahead of us to get done... besides eating all of her snacks she did really good! If I can figure out how to cut the video down I will post some of it or some pics. Have to get some help from someone smarter than me..... Anyways we are excited and have to start thinking of names!!

Water with the Wilson's & Winston Childrens's Museum

WOW! What a wonderful time we have been having! This weekend was jam packed with fun! On Saturday evening we went to the lake with the Wilson's. We asked Izzy if she wanted to go swimming... she said- "swimming, Nay Nay.. gotta go!" Hahahaha. She sure loves to hang out with her buddy. We went to the lake and had a great time. The water was warm and the kiddos had a great time. Izzy is not a fan of the life jacket but loved Nathan's float!

One of Nathan & Izzy;s favorite games. "Rosie"- ring around the rosie :)
Everyone had to play!
We ate dinner at the lake and then headed back to the Wilson's house. Izzy and Nathan had fun dancing the night away.
On Sunday we had a cookout with our sunday school class. There were lots of pics but this one that Katie took of Izzy was my favorite. She loves her some "Daydee!"
Today we went to the Winston-Salem's children's museum. It was really cool. They have lots of different rooms and all have a theme. This is the library. Big pillows to "crash" on!
Of course there was some "rosie"
Izzy didn't know what to think about the dress up.
They had this thing called the "circulator." The kiddos loved it! It sucked in the scarves and shot them out another hole.

Upstairs there is a forest themed room. Izzy was kissing the Lion while Z rode it :)
The last room we went into was a krispy kreme room! My type of place! The kiddos loves putting the doughnuts in the first part and turning the wheels to get the doughnuts through.
Ok they REALLY liked putting them in :)
Went looking for Izzy and found her hiding with a (pretend) box of doughnuts. She was bent down pretending to eat them.... definitely her mother's daughter!
She had a death grip on that box!
We are so thankful for all of our friends! We have so much fun whatever we do with them! Can't wait for the next adventure!

Pray for Katie!!

My good buddy Katie is sick :( Here she is picking up Nathan from my house with her mask on...... I missed the Food Lion bag on her head pic mentioned in this post so I had to take advantage of this opportunity! She is feeling really yucky and needs healing prayers!
Also pray for her cutie kiddo that he doesn't get it!
How about some fun pics to make you smile?? Here is Izzy with her very first lollipop!
Mmmmmmmmmmmm!

REALLY concentrating :)
Now you know summer is here.... fudgesicles :)
Boy was she happy!!

She has also gotten into "feeding" the ferrets. Here she is giving them craisins.
They followed her all over- which she thought was great!
Here she is feeding Fugee blueberry frosted mini-wheats. She ABSOLUTELY loves them.... and so does he :)

Hehehehehehe she giggles- his whiskers tickle her :)
Don't forget.... pray for Katie!!!

Izzy's first baseball game

Last night we went to Izzy's first baseball game! There happened to be a carnival also :) It was all part of homeruns for homelessness which our church supports. There were lots of Westover people there, lots of good food and tons of new things for Izzy to see. I think she had a blast! Another good night of sleep for me...... I am on a roll!
She saw this big slide and wanted to go down it so I obliged....
WHOA!! She signed more..... but I had enough so we moved on
She did the bean bag toss- well.... she moved up and handed the bean bag through the hole. She still got to pick a prize :)
She did the search for letters and numbers.... er.... well she splashed in the water ;)
I love this pic with her and daddy ;)
Running... running.... running
She followed this baby all around the playground saying "baby"... this is looking good for us!
She loved dancing to all the music they played!
The sun was killer.... but she was happy to sit in daddy's lap with it to her back.

Overall we had a great time. We left about an hour into the game. We had to get home to wash all the sunscreen I slathered all over her off :) Made for a late bedtime but she handled it like a champ! In fact after her bath she chased the ferrets around naked for awhile before telling she was ready for night night. I missed taking the pics of that. I will have to get a video of it soon. She really loves chasing them around and tickling them. She is usually pretty gentle and so are they but they both get a little excited sometimes :)
