Warmer weather

This past weekend brought some warmer weather and we were so happy to get out and play! Izzy is looking more and more like a big girl these days. I can't get over how big she looks. She is such an awesome girl and I love her soooooo much! Her excitement over the little things warms my heart. One of her favorite things is to play hide and seek. Her shrieks of joy and the way she runs I want to remember forever. Tim says all the time he wishes she had a pause button, to pause her right now- the way she laughs, loves and lives. Pictures can't capture her spunk and personality! I love her so much!!!

Busting out the croc flops.....
who am I kidding I wear them year-round but when my toes don't go
numb it makes it even better :)
I am loving the MOBY with Piper.
She is very happy in it and it allows me to carry her but still be able
to use my hands and play/help Izzy.
I love this kiddo! This picture is one of my faves- yes I know his head is partly cut off but it really shows who he is.... concentrated, playing, holding tight to the beloved ball & rocks!

Bestest buddies! Note that Izzy is a little taller than he is and
he is 12 wks older. She is gonna be a tall one like me :)

Katie & Tim trying to fly the kite I got Tim for Christmas...
maybe next time there will be some wind!

Can you see the excitement in their run??

This was last summer- my how they have grown!

Sweet baby girl snoozing in the MOBY
I love this shot.... best buddies hanging in the tree :)
Piper's first slide with Momma Katie- she wanted to be sure since Tim got the first bottle she would get the first slide..... she will be a part of MANY firsts in Piper's life! I love that she is second momma to my girls!

Piper loved talking to "the other baby"

We put Piper in the exersaucer... she was so excited... can't you tell????

Izzy is a great big sister... showing Piper how to work the toys :)
I loved the weather this past weekend and am so excited for spring!!

Playing in the mud

On a warm afternoon in January Katie and I took the kiddos to a field near our house to play...... of course they found some mud and had a BLAST jumping and running and splatting in it.... what is splatting you ask.... just watch Nathan in the video- he demonstrates it PERFECTLY! I am ready for spring!!

Circus 2010

We kept our tradition of going to the circus going! It just happens to come to town right on Izzy's birthday and she seems to really like it! Here we are together.
And there we are from last year..... bald as can be ;)
She still fed a little cotton candy to daddy but she ate much more herself this year.
Last year she was a little confused by it and only wanted to give it to Tim.

Her favorite part is going in to see the animals before the circus starts. She is holding and elephant tooth here.

There were alot more side show stuff this year. The theme song talked about the side show taking center stage... it was cool but Izzy likes the animals the best. Here are a few- WOW I can't believe they can do that pics....

We had a great time and plan to go again next year. It was fun to see how she reacted differently this year. A little reserved at first but she really got into it around intermission time. Click here to see last year's circus!
Oh yeah.... we left Piper at the babysitter's this year....didn't think she was quite ready yet!

Playing in the snow with daddy

It snowed.... again! I really can't believe it! This time I let Tim have the fun out in the snow with Izzy while I stayed in with Piper. It was much less this time- only 3-4 inches so Izzy could walk around much easier. She enjoyed playing with daddy.

I love seeing them together!

Izzy's First Haircut

At almost 2 years old Izzy has never had a haircut... as you can see at this time last year she barely had any hair at all!
Well Daddy thought it was time for a haircut- the fly aways and random long hair were getting to him. I wasn't sure what she would think about going to a salon so I was a little hesitant. I found out about this lady who will come to your house and cut hair- a princess haircut- to include glitter, hair clips and a sucker! Sounds like a deal to me. So I booked her and talked it up to Izzy. The morning of the haircut Izzy woke up and said "It's my birthday party today!" I told her that we already had her bday party but today was her princess haircut. At 6 am her response was (jumping) " Yay my princess haircut, I will get candy and a sucker!!! I can't wait! Run fast Mommy!" And then she ran to the stairs screaming like a banshee... she was excited to say the least :)

A little unsure but she didn't cry or get scared!

Picking a sucker
Getting glitter on her hands
Don't you love the slippers?

It was a great haircut and Izzy did awesome! We will definitely do this for the next several haircuts. She was so happy to be a princess and get a sucker :)

Lots of Love

In the week leading up to Valentines Day I have been looking around at all the love in my life and it makes me soooo happy! I love my family and all the fun we have. Izzy and her best buddy Nathan did some Valentine painting. I think it is so cute how Izzy holds her brush :)

Got some good smiles out of Piper- even though she had a double ear infection!
Poor baby!
Can you tell she likes the Bumbo?

I love seeing Izzy love on Piper. She is a great big sister!
Izzy's first ponytail. I think she looks like Pebbles...all we need is a bone.

The kiddos do great being gentle.... Izzy is a little protective over Piper.

I love my family, my friends and my life!!!
Happy Valentines day everyone!
PS: Today is Izzy's actual birthday- it snowed last night- just like it did the night she was born two years ago. I can't believe she is two years old!!!!!!!!!!
