Christmas Eve 2014

20141224_073559

Christmas Eve morning started with opening our stockings.  They girls could hardly wait! We played around that morning and had some friends over for lunch.  That afternoon we headed to our neighbors church to do a spontaneous nativity.  The kids get to pick out costumes and participate in the reading of the Christmas story.  I ended up with two angels and a sheep!20141224_152401

Afterwards we got some dinner and then headed to our church for the Christmas Eve service.  Tim was singing a song and the girls were excited to sit on the front row!

After Tim’s song we headed home for bed.  Santa had work to do!  He ate their gingerbread house and left them a “Thanks”.

I spent most of our time enjoying the kids opening presents so I didn’t take pictures of everything.  The big girls got this Lego set and love it!

Jesus is the reason we celebrate Christmas so we sang Happy Birthday to Jesus.  Piper and Izzy had cinnamon rolls- Cassidy can’t have them because they have eggs so she had a bagel.  She didn’t eat the bagel though, once she saw we were having bacon that’s all she wanted!  That girl LOVES some bacon!  Smile

One sweet thing that happened while we were opening presents was Cassidy started singing and it sounded like “away in a manger” so we all stopped and sang.  It warmed my heart that the girls understand why we celebrate.

We have had a great Christmas season!  We are so blessed.  We are thankful for all of our blessings.  Christmas Eve post coming next!
