This Easter weekend we went to visit Uncle Josh & Aunt Bethany. Their church had a big Eggstravaganza with lots for the kiddos to do. A big inflatable slide was a big hit with both kiddos.
And there is Uncle Josh who both kiddos LOVE!
I think Piper would have stayed in Aunt Bethany’s arms all day if she could’ve!
They had an egg hunt and both kids got plenty of eggs. Piper’s first sample of tootsie rolls and she is now a tootsie fiend!!
Easter morning they got their baskets which was lots of fun. They we got dressed. Anytime Izzy wears a pretty dress she thinks we should have a photo-shoot Kinda hard to get them to both smile but not “CHEEESE!”
Love how Piper is looking at Izzy in the pic above.
We had some friends over for lunch and actually managed a family shot!
It was a great weekend! Izzy has really honed in on the meaning of Easter this year. We spent a lot of time going over the resurrection eggs and she can tell the whole story herself. Which she did for Uncle Josh & Aunt Bethany. She also feels the need to tell random strangers that “Jesus is not dead- He is ALIVE!” (With extravagant hand motions of course) We made resurrection rolls (which were really yummy) and she seemed to get it and liked that the tomb was empty. Later that night she told me “We ate Jesus allllll up!” I reminded her that Jesus wasn’t in the tomb (Jesus was the marshmallow which melted and was “gone”) and she said “Oh yeah but we ate those tombs all up!” Such a sweet silly girl! We had a great time celebrating our Risen Savior! I am so glad that He is alive!!
