Waiting on baby
Just want to chronicle our journey with waiting for baby! So here goes- I talked with our birth mom last thursday 12/13 and she let me know she was feeling really bad and was going to go to the hospital. Later that night we found out she had the flu- I sent out texts to everyone I could think of to pray for her. The doctor told her that they were going to keep her and induce her since the fever she was running was not good for baby. I booked a flight for friday morning and tried to get a little bit of sleep before heading out. I arrived in Miami at 9:30 on friday morning and went straight to the hospital. The doctor had began giving her Tamiflu and since her fever had come down he didn't want to induce her. She fought back and forth with the doctor trying to get him to induce her but they thought it would be more risky to deliver her with her having the flu. They discharged her on Saturday.
Our God of awesome planning had orchestrated one of my friends Katie to be in Florida at the same time adopting their new little one. They were about 2.5 hours away and were staying in her mom's house- they invited me to come and stay with them so I packed my bags and headed that way. I am SO thankful that I did. It was wonderful to be with friends not stuck in a hotel all by myself!! Katie's mom is an awesome cook- I was spoiled with yummy food and hanging out with them! They were heading out on thursday so I came back to Miami on Wednesday.
I am staying in a hotel- waiting for our birth mom to go into labor. She is feeling much better from the flu but is ready to have the baby. She went to the hospital on thursday night (her due date) and they checked her out. She was not in labor :( They did an ultrasound to check on the baby and everything looked good so they sent her home. We are thankful for the ultrasound and that everything looks good!! The hospital staff told her to come back when she is in labor. So we are waiting for just that!! We know God is in control and has the perfect time for our baby to be born. We are trusting in Him and praising Him for His provision so far.
I am so excited to introduce our new baby to you all soon!!!

Christmas Preschool Performance
Every year the preschool has a Christmas performance- the girls were really excited about singing on the stag! Izzy’s class was first. She did an awesome job singing loud and doing all the motion! She had a blast!
Piper was excited too!
She sang and did the motions for the first song and had a special job to play the cymbals for the second song. She was SOOOO proud to have a special job! And she did awesome!!
She closed her eyes every time she hit them together
My cute reindeer!
The girls got to visit Santa afterwards and both told him what they want for Christmas. Piper- “Doctor Mommy” and Izzy “Easy Bake Oven”.
This weekend Tim made gingerbread houses with the girls. They used graham crackers and left over Halloween candy. I was super impressed with how good they looked!!

Cell phone pics
As I’ve mentioned before- my girls are all about photo-ops. I usually don’t have our big camera so the cell has to suffice. Recently my phone won’t stay connected to the computer so it is VERY difficult to get these pics transferred from the phone to the computer. It took about 15 times and me sweaty and about ready to throw the phone out the window but I finally got them transferred! Yay! I want to be able to have these pics when my phone kicks the bucket (or gets thrown in a bucket) one of which will probably happen soon!
The library had a Halloween event with games and treats. The girls had a lot of fun! Piper modeling a coat Daddy found at work
Mommy & Izzy date
I LOVE this pic Crazy craft time!
Sometimes I can talk Izzy into napping with me
Tree is up!!
Playing/learning on the computer at the library!
Feeding the ducks
Piper is learning her name- she did both of these by herself!! Started out as Pipipipi and now she has figured out the E- she is SO proud of herself!!

The Nutcracker!
A friend asked me awhile back if we would like to go to the Nutcracker with them on school day. It is a shorted performance- about an hour and is for younger kids. We were so happy to join them! The girls and I have never seen the Nutcracker before so it was cool to see it for the first time together! They were really excited!
It was a great performance. The girls especially liked the fairies dancing and also when the mouse king and boy were fighting!
So much fun! Thanks for inviting us Amber!!
