Sparkle Plenty Play-date

We went to a place called Sparkle Plenty with Alaina last week.  It is a cool little place for little girls where they can get all sparkly and have fun!  They mainly do birthday parties but we had a blast! Piper enjoyed the disco lights!

At the end they read them a couple stories and had a craft.  Both girls had a fun time and it was cool to see them get all pretty :)

My girls love each other and love snuggling.  This makes my heart feel super happy (to quote Kai-lan).  Thank you Lord for my sweet girls!!

Father Daughter camping trip 2010

Tim took Izzy on the father daughter camping trip with our church a few weekends ago.  She was the youngest girl there but they had a blast!!  She loves her daddy and I love the daddy he is!  I love the first two pics…….

Bed head

Izzy made some new friends and had lots of fun with daddy!  She was soooo tired when they left- she fell asleep as soon as they got on the road to head back.  I knew Izzy would miss me but I hadn’t thought about her missing Piper or vice versa.  When they got home Izzy & Piper were sooooooooo happy to see each other.  Izzy said “Baby Piper- I missed you!!”  they hugged and kissed and snuggled for the rest of the day!  I am so happy that they love each other already :)  I am so thankful for my family and all the blessings we have!  My hubby is such a great daddy and that makes me the happiest mommy there is!

Away at the Bay

The girls and I went to my parent’s house in Havelock, NC which they call the Bay house.  It one row back from the ocean and a wonderful place to go!  It is quite removed from all the hustle and bustle and very calm and relaxing!  My parents were there and the girls got some great grandparent time in.  I enjoyed hanging out with my parents, spending time with the girls and seeing them enjoy all the fun things the beach has to offer.

 What I saw when I came downstairs from taking my nap ( I had worked the night before).  So sweet!!!  Right after this we packed up and headed East!  None of them woke up while I took pictures!

 

When we got there we headed straight to the water…. Izzy was very excited!!

She and Grandpa had a fun time wading out in the water.  It is the Neuse River and the ocean combined so there are small lapping waves but nothing too overpowering.  It is 1-3 feet deep about a mile out- which was great for Izzy because she could touch no matter how far out we went.

Piper had fun in the sand- eating it by the handfuls of course !!

Cute little butt :)We went back to the water the next day but I didn’t take my camera.  The girls loved.  I put Piper in her float and she was sooo happy.  At some points her feet were hitting the bottom because it is so shallow :)  It was fun to play in the water all by ourselves.  I’m telling you this place is tucked away and very private!  My favorite of all I think-                                                      coffee (and milk) with Grandpa :) Craft time

We stopped in Raleigh on the way home and Uncle Josh met us at McDonalds for some playtime & dinner. 

We had a great trip!  Very relaxing, yet exhausting at the same time.  We missed Tim but really enjoyed spending time with my parents.  The girls did great in the car.  The first 3 hours without a stop both ways….. the last 1.5 hours weren’t that great but we made it!  Very empowering knowing I made the trip all by myself!  We look forward to being able to spend more time with my parents and Aunt Emily & cousin Penelope this summer after I go part- time!! YAY!!!!
