As I was brainstorming/asking my friends to brainstorm ways to raise money for my trip to Guatemala this summer a friend came up with an idea “since you don’t mind your house being a zoo- why don’t you have some kind of event and sell tickets?” (thanks Kristin B.!!) Her first idea was a tea party- but the planning for that entailed a lot of work and $$- plus it is kinda girly. The idea was eventually tweaked into an Egg Hunt. Gave the kiddos something to do and wasn’t too expensive to pull off. It was a hit!!
Kids eagerly awaiting the “Go”!
All the kids were running around and finding eggs
Sweet baby!!
At first we set a limit on finding 7 eggs and then helping the little ones- the big kids did great at this!! When everyone had 7 we let them go and find the rest.
The Egg Hunt went over well & I raised almost $300!! Woo-hoo! Hoping it gave the parents a chance to talk about mission trips with their kiddos. It was a fun time!! Thanks to everybody who came out!!
